WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Conservative Union (ACU) today announced Texas Governor Rick Perry will address CPAC 2013 – the 40th annual Conservative Political Action Conference. America’s largest gathering of conservative leaders and activists will be held Thursday, March 14 – Saturday, March 16, 2013.
“Governor Rick Perry has been successful in leading Texas with strong fiscally conservative policies,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “We look forward to welcoming Governor Perry back to the CPAC stage in March.” Before Rick Perry became the 47th Governor of the State of Texas, he has led a life of public service, serving four and a half years in the United States Air Force, and nearly two decades in elected office as a state representative, commissioner of agriculture, lieutenant governor and now governor. Perry was first elected to statewide office in 1990, serving as Texas Commissioner of Agriculture for two terms. From 1985 to 1991, he represented a rural West Texas district in the Texas House of Representatives. In the summer of 2011, Perry entered the race for the GOP Presidential nomination.
CPAC will be held March 14-16, 2013 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, offering three days of blockbuster speeches, policy discussions and networking opportunities – all celebrating the shared principles of smaller government, a strong national defense and traditional American values. I have the pleasure of attending CPAC again this year as an Official Blogger and am looking forward to hearing and meeting the speakers as well as what plans will be in place for better outreach in the conservative movement.
Will you be attending CPAC too?
